The Humann Impacr Prize 2025_edited.jpg

The Humann Impact Prize 2025 was awarded to Björk in tribute to the visionary force of her work and to her singular artistic commitment to the living world.

For decades, Björk has invented a language in which music, nature, technology, the body, and the Earth are never separate. Through her albums, performances, music videos, film and visual universe, she gives voice to the fragility of the living world with rare intensity. Her work does not merely speak of ecology — it makes it felt, physical, almost organic.

Björk reminds us that nature is not a backdrop, but a presence.

A memory. A force.

A sacred bond humanity cannot sever without losing itself.

As part of the 10th Positive Cinema Week, the Humann Prize also presented a special screening at Cineum of Björk: Cornucopia, the Icelandic artist’s most intimate concert film, in her presence.

A total work between organic pulsation, ecological outcry, and visual poetry, Cornucopia goes beyond spectacle. It is a sensory and political experience, a celebration of the beauty of the living world as much as a call for its protection.

There are artists who do not merely pass through their time: they shift the way we see, feel, and inhabit the world.

Björk is one of them.

1. KV CHAPLIN_.jpg

The Humann Lifetime Prize 2025 was awarded to Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin, in tribute to his timeless legacy and his profound impact on the history of cinema and the collective conscience.

Through universal masterpieces such as The Great Dictator and The Gold Rush, Charlie Chaplin used the power of cinema to transcend borders, awaken consciences, and defend deeply human values of dignity, freedom, and resilience.

With The Great Dictator, he became one of the very first artists to courageously, lucidly, and humanely denounce the rise of totalitarianism, delivering one of the most powerful speeches in cinematic history.

With The Gold Rush, whose centenary is being celebrated this year at Cannes Classics with the film’s very first 4K restoration, Chaplin transformed human fragility into universal poetry.

The award was received on behalf of the Chaplin family by his granddaughter, Dolores Chaplin, accompanied by his great-grandson Akilles Coppet Chaplin, in a deeply moving and symbolic moment.

Today, the Humann Lifetime Prize trophy rests at Chaplin’s World in Vevey, Switzerland, the only museum in the world entirely dedicated to Charlie Chaplin: the man behind the icon, his family, and his cinematic legacy.

To see this award find its place within such a historic and emotional setting represents far more than a tribute.

It is a powerful reminder that some artists do not merely transcend time — they continue to illuminate consciences, generation after generation.
